ABOUT THE MATERIALS:
♡ Delica beads are professional quality, cylinder shaped, glass seed beads known for it uniform cut and wide array of colors. My thread of choice is Fireline. Fireline is processed using micro Dyneema (R) which is a synthetic fiber that can withstand extreme weather conditions and even explosions!
♡ These charms are lightweight, flexible and quite durable; however, crushing force (like squashing it between your pliers when making jewelry) will crack the glass beads.
♡ I've been beading and selling my original patterns here on Etsy since 2010. I also teach others how to brick stitch bead so you can be assured that attention, detail, experience and quality goes into making each of these charms for you! I'm told that these charms, with lobster clasp, are great as progress keepers as well. I hope you'll enjoy the charms you see here and find something that you like.

Yes. You will need to know basic bead weaving stitches such as ladder stitch, peyote stitch and brick stitch. You will also need to know how to add thread (if your existing thread is too short), how to end your beadwork and how to add attachments or connector beads if making jewelry.
If needed, I will try my best to help you along by providing you with tips and video links. Please take time to view this youtube link if you are new to beadweaving, bit.ly/learnbrickstitch.
Definitely not! Use either Peyote or Brick Stitch to weave your design. Many of my patterns are created on a Peyote Stitch chart because it's my personal preference. However, when actually beading my piece, I turn my pattern sideways and stitch using the brick stitch technique.
You can start anywhere you want to. Some people have told me that they like to start from the center moving outwards while others like to start at the edge. I usually start at the widest/tallest point or on the row/column that I plan to attach a connector bead (so I can get that out of the way first).
It is a personal preference (as of Sept. 2015, new patterns will not show the finishing loop info). Instead of a loop, I like to stitch on a closed jump ring.
You may sell your finished beadwork based on my pattern as long as
1. you purchased the pattern from my shop or received it as a free pattern that has been shared by me and,
2. it is made by your own hands (no bulk, wholesale or mass production) and
3. you credit www.beadcrumbshawaii.com for the pattern design
4. you credit me (or tag me) on your social media post when publishing a photo
