Digital listing of 5 Princess Patterns for you to download / print.
Here is a brick stitch bead pattern set that includes Five Princess designs inspired by the Chinese philosophy of the 5 Elements - fire, earth, metal, water, and wood. These five elements are often recognized in Chinese medicine, Feng Shui and astrology. Each princess is a cute representation of a primary element that you can stitch up with Delica beads.
YOU WILL RECEIVE five digital PDF files (one page for each design) that you will be able to download to your device when your payment has been confirmed. The files are printable. If you have trouble downloading your file, please contact me for assistance.
I can even separate the set for you so you can make your favorite princess without purchasing the entire group. Contact me if you're interested!
ABOUT THE PATTERN FILE: The pattern will be similar to the sample turtle pattern (shown in photo) and will include the following information:
- Suggested beading materials
- Bead Legend: A chart with the bead reference number, bead color and bead count. Please feel free to change the bead colors.
- Colored image of the completed project to use as a reference.
- Bead Chart: The bead chart is an illustration or graph of the beadwork. The numbers on the chart correspond with the numbers on the bead legend so you will know what bead colors to use and where it should be placed.
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE instructions or a word chart to complete this pattern. You must have experience with bead weaving. If you are new to bead weaving, please see the tutorial section for patterns that include instructions. I would recommend the ghost pattern because it is most similar to this brick stitch pattern. Yes. You will need to know basic bead weaving stitches such as ladder stitch, peyote stitch and brick stitch. You will also need to know how to add thread (if your existing thread is too short), how to end your beadwork and how to add attachments or connector beads if making jewelry.
If needed, I will try my best to help you along by providing you with tips and video links. Please take time to view this youtube link if you are new to beadweaving, bit.ly/learnbrickstitch.
Definitely not! Use either Peyote or Brick Stitch to weave your design. Many of my patterns are created on a Peyote Stitch chart because it's my personal preference. However, when actually beading my piece, I turn my pattern sideways and stitch using the brick stitch technique.
You can start anywhere you want to. Some people have told me that they like to start from the center moving outwards while others like to start at the edge. I usually start at the widest/tallest point or on the row/column that I plan to attach a connector bead (so I can get that out of the way first).
It is a personal preference (as of Sept. 2015, new patterns will not show the finishing loop info). Instead of a loop, I like to stitch on a closed jump ring.
You may sell your finished beadwork based on my pattern as long as
1. you purchased the pattern from my shop or received it as a free pattern that has been shared by me and,
2. it is made by your own hands (no bulk, wholesale or mass production) and
3. you credit www.beadcrumbshawaii.com for the pattern design
4. you credit me (or tag me) on your social media post when publishing a photo
