Narwhal and Mini Fish Brick Stitch Pattern
PDF Digital File for you to download and/or print

This Narwhal pattern was super fun to design. I hope you enjoy it too! I added the little fish to keep the "sea unicorn" a bit of friendly company. This is an easy pattern for experienced bead weavers. New beaders will will need to know basic bead weaving stitches to complete this charm.

Please read the entire product description below.

This is a 1 page pattern to make 1 bead woven Narwhal charm and 2 different colors of fish. Miyuki Delica beads is my bead of choice and is suggested for this project. I stitched my Narwhal and fish using the brick stitch technique.

What is Included:
The Narwhal pattern file is similar to the turtle pattern shown in the photo. You will be provided with the following.
- Suggested supply list (actual beading materials are not provided)
- Bead legend (corresponds with bead colors & count shown in bead chart)
- Bead chart (graphical illustration of design that shows bead placement)
- Photo of completed project as a sample.

**A word chart is not included nor are step-by-step instructions. If you are new to bead weaving, please consider purchasing a low cost (only twenty-cents) tutorial. I would recommend the not-so-spooky ghost design, in my tutorial section, because the stitching technique is most similar to this pattern design.

Charm Information:
- The finished Narwhal piece measures approximately 2.5 x 1.8 cm (width x height)
- The finished fishes measure approximately .8 x .8 cm (width x height)
- A total of 121 Miyuki Delica 11/0 bead are used in 9 colors. Feel free to change the bead colors.

Photo Description:
1. Collage of the finished Narwhal and fish charm. Size reference, in comparison to my finger, is also shown.
2. Photo of sample supplies. I prefer using 6lb Fireline thread, size 12 beading needle, and Miyuki Delica seed beads in size 11.
3. Turtle pattern. Your pattern will be similar to this sample pattern.

Please read the pattern FAQs in the "policies" section for more information about my patterns.

Am I purchasing a pattern tutorial with instructions?

No instructions are provided unless it is stated in the description. The patterns in the "tutorial" section includes instructions.

Do I need to know how to bead weave when I purchase a pattern?

Yes. You will need to know basic bead weaving stitches such as ladder stitch, peyote stitch and brick stitch. You will also need to know how to add thread (if your existing thread is too short), how to end your beadwork and how to add attachments or connector beads if making jewelry.

If needed, I will try my best to help you along by providing you with tips and video links. Please take time to view this youtube link if you are new to beadweaving, bit.ly/learnbrickstitch.

Your listing states "Peyote" (or Brick Stitch) bead pattern. Do I need to stitch my beadwork using the particular method stated?

Definitely not! Use either Peyote or Brick Stitch to weave your design. Many of my patterns are created on a Peyote Stitch chart because it's my personal preference. However, when actually beading my piece, I turn my pattern sideways and stitch using the brick stitch technique.

Why don't you show a "starting point" on your patterns?

You can start anywhere you want to. Some people have told me that they like to start from the center moving outwards while others like to start at the edge. I usually start at the widest/tallest point or on the row/column that I plan to attach a connector bead (so I can get that out of the way first).

Why do some of your patterns have loops for hardware while others do not?

It is a personal preference (as of Sept. 2015, new patterns will not show the finishing loop info). Another option, instead of loops or connector beads, is a wire connector. One thing I don't like to do is add a jump ring directly through a bead. The twisting and turning of the jump ring weakens & may crack the bead...and that would definitely ruin your hard work!

Can I sell my beadwork made from your pattern?

You may sell your finished beadwork based on my pattern as long as (1) you purchased the pattern from my shop or received it as a free pattern that I publicly shared and (2) it is made by your own hands and (3) you credit www.beadcrumbshawaii.com for the pattern design. With social media now being a venue for selling and promoting one's work, I also ask that you credit me (or tag me) on your post when sharing an item created from my pattern.

Can I reproduce your pattern?

No. You are not allowed reproduce the patterns; prepare “derivative” works based on my patterns; distribute copies of the patterns; teach/hold classes based on my patterns. No bulk or factory production allowed. My patterns are copyrighted.

Each pattern is my original work and my intellectual property. Any type of distribution (print, electronically, etc.) is a copyright infringement . You are prohibited from creating beadwork based on a photo you viewed online, or shared with you, without purchasing the pattern from my shop or without my permission

Thank you for your understanding!

What if I see a mistake on your pattern?

I go over each pattern before I list it for sale; however, if you notice an error, I will be very grateful if you notify me ASAP. I will gladly refund you for the pattern price and issue you the corrected pattern at no cost.
